NRA Basic Pistol Course, Ladies Only, Satsuma, 05/02/2020
This class, for Ladies only, features a wholesome environment that fosters learning. It is a class for women, taught by a woman. The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all, regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation. Topics covered are: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. The NRA fundamentals are taught and there is an opportunity to try several different handguns. Additionally, students complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification; at an indoor local range. During this class, a level of comfort and confidence is developed which fuels a desire for further learning.
The course fee is $139. All course materials, range fees, and certification are included.
For this class, eye and hearing protection are required. A pistol and 100 rounds of the proper ammo is suggested. A store is located on-site; fully stocked with ammunition, proper eye and hearing protection, and other shooting supplies for your convenience.
Students participating in this class will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate bearing official NRA signatures. Coffee, fresh fruit, and lunch are included with tuition.
This class is low density, with only 4 student seats available. This allows for a positive experience including time for individual student/instructor interaction and feedback. It is suggested that you register early to claim a spot.
