Refuse To Be A Victim, 01/27/2020
One of the most important steps toward ensuring your own safety is having a personal safety strategy in place before you need it. NRA’s Refuse To Be A Victim® program teaches the tips and techniques you need to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid criminal confrontation. Many criminal confrontations can be prevented entirely, if you are properly prepared.
Topics covered in the program:
Psychology of Criminal Predators: Understand what makes a criminal a predator.
Physical Security: Don’t ignore your instincts – if something feels wrong, it probably is!
Home Security: Securing what’s inside and outside your house.
Automobile Security: Equip yourself with the necessities for any type of situation.
Out-of-Town Security: Making sure you are safe, no matter where you go.
Technological Security: Technological advances have made individuals more vulnerable to being victimized. Learn how to protect yourself and your family.
Personal Protection Devices: Tools that you can use for personal protection.
Open to all ages. This seminar covers topics that can pertain to anyone. The information covered is appropriate for young adults to senior citizens. The program materials also include a special teaching module for parents, which discusses tips for children ages pre-school to high school.
